Dr. Michael Kane is a licensed therapeutic optometrist practicing in the Hurst area. He has been practicing in the DFW area for over 6 years.
Dr. Kane earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and his Doctor of Optometry degree for the School of Optometry at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Dr. Kane completed his internships with Washington University School of Ophthalmology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO and the Veterans Hospital at Poplar Buff, MO. |
His internship experience included primary care optometry, vision therapy, developmental vision disorders, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, medical co-management with ophthalmologists, fitting contact lenses and low vision conditions. Dr. Kane is licensed to prescribe medications and is experienced in fitting contact lenses and eyeglasses. He has also treated cataract and refractive surgery patients prior to and following their surgical procedures.
Following graduation, Dr. Kane furthered his studies in several specialized externships, including ocular disease, contact lenses and primary care.
